The Afro Dandy Social Club is a sartorial society formed by a collective of four Afro dandies based in the Western Cape (Omphile Sedumedi, Tony Mac, Menzi Mcunu and Zola Msizi). The society was launched on the 3rd of September and its purpose is to create a networking platform for fashion enthusiasts and creatives in the Western Cape.

The launch of the Afro Dandy Social Club took place at the Cape Grace Library in Cape Town alongside the launch of the LouxMac legacy bowtie, a bowtie designed by Tony Mac and Lourens Gebhardt for BeWooden Bowties. Present at the launch of the Afro Dandy Social Club were photographers, bloggers and creatives.

The founders of the Afro Dandy Social Club hope to create a top-tier networking platform where information about the fashion industry can be shared and collaborative partnerships for future projects can be formed. The society hopes to attract sartorial enthusiasts of all calibres, from the vintage sartorialist to the Afrocentric sartorialist, and creatives of all sorts.

The Afro dandy space is often thought to be limited to men. Tony Mac wants people to know that the Afro Dandy Social Club is predicated upon the value of inclusivity. At the launch of the society, it was made clear that dandyism is not centred around sexual orientation or gender. Dandyism is a movement that is informed and inspired by fashion enthusiasts trying to find expression in the arts.

The meetings of the social club will be held on the first Sunday of every month at the Cape Grace Library.
