Louis XIII Cognac has been around for centuries and it is an exquisite blend of up to 1,200 grapes eaux-de-vie sourced 100% from Grande Champagne. Each eau-de-vie is matured slowly inside oak cask. The Louis XIII decanter is a replica of the original 16th-century metal flask, which was discovered on the site of the battle of Jarnac and bought by Paul-Emile Rémy Martin in 1850. The decanter is made from fine crystal and is mouth-blown by some of the most skilled master craftsmen. BLQ sat down with Justin Meade, the Global Marketing Manager for Louis XIII, who gave us insight into the origins of the decanter. Each decanter of LOUIS XIII represents the life achievement of generations of cellar masters, so LOUIS XIII must always think a century ahead. Justin also spoke about the brand’s partnership with Pharrell Williams, through which they celebrate 100 years of Louis XIII and raise awareness about environmental preservation.
