Heineken®, on-going sponsors of this world class festival, challenged the 30 000 plus jazz fest crowd to a scat-off to win a VIP trip to the Montreal International Jazz Festival 2015 in Canada. Scatting is vocal jazz. It’s the art of singing with wordless, nonsense syllables or without words at all. It’s a unique technique where you use your voice as an instrument. Ruwadzano Nhamoinesu rose to the challenge and scatted her way to the winning position. She will be jetting to Montreal, Canada, the largest Jazz Festival in the World for a 6 day trip to further enjoy the sounds of Jazz. “The Cape Town International Jazz Festival was a world class experience. Heineken® is proud to be a sponsor of such a premium event and to support the local and international jazz music industry” said Tjeerd Veldhuis, Marketing Manager, Heineken® South Africa.
