Heineken® sends festival goer to the Montreal International Jazz Festival

If you were anywhere near the Cape Town International Jazz Festival this past weekend, or following the action on social media, you would have been blown away by South Africa’s be bop a doo talent.

Heineken®, on-going sponsors of this world class festival, challenged the 30 000 plus jazz fest crowd to a scat-off to win a VIP trip to the Montreal International Jazz Festival 2015 in Canada.

Scatting is vocal jazz. It’s the art of singing with wordless, nonsense syllables or without words at all. It’s a unique technique where you use your voice as an instrument.

Ruwadzano Nhamoinesu rose to the challenge and scatted her way to the winning position. She will be jetting to Montreal, Canada, the largest Jazz Festival in the World for a 6 day trip to further enjoy the sounds of Jazz.
