CELEBRATE SA’S MOST ICONIC CHOCOLATE BAR BY BECOMING LUNCH BAR-INSPIRED
#LunchBar50

In celebration of its Golden 50th Anniversary, Lunch Bar is tapping into the talents of local SA designers, AfrikanSwiss and Skinny Sbu Socks, in a collaboration to produce a limited edition Lunch Bar-inspired range of T-shirts and socks.

This range will celebrate the rich and colourful heritage of South Africa’s most iconic chocolate bar by encouraging consumers to share their talents with a Lunch Bar-inspired design via www.facebook.com/LunchBarSA, using the hashtag #LunchBar50.

By sharing their designs participants will stand a chance of becoming one of two fans whose designs will be used in the limited edition range of T-shirts and socks alongside the Lunch Bar-inspired designs of AfrikanSwiss and Skinny Sbu Socks. By having their designs selected these two amateur designers will also each win a cash prize of R5 000. To enter, participants simply need to draw, paint or sketch their Lunch Bar-inspired design (using Lunch Bar’s colours and South Africa’s rich heritage as a guide), take a picture of their work and post it to www.facebook.com/LunchBarSA using the hashtag #LunchBar50. All fans who have submitted their Lunch Bar-inspired designs will stand a chance to win the main prize of an AfrikanSwiss custom designed outfit valued at R7 000. The competition will run from the 6th to the 30th of April 2015. T&C’s apply.

Lunch Bar’s design partners both epitomise the essence of Lunch Bar in terms of their passion and drive to succeed. Through lifestyle and fashion, AfrikanSwiss (the first genuine African denim brand), celebrates and embraces the pride of Africa. Skinny Sbu Socks founder and designer, Sibusiso Ngwenya, the youngest sock designer in the world at 23 years of age, puts style and individuality first when creating his premium designs. He is known for producing high quality designer ranges limited to 250 pairs per design.

Lunch Bar’s pop-up design station will be featured at the AfrikanSwiss store in Johannesburg on the 10th of April, from 3pm – 6pm, where participants will be able to create their own Lunch Bar-inspired designs. Lunch Bar will also be at the Skinny Sbu Socks Pop Up Store opening and launch of his winter range later in April.

The final Lunch Bar-inspired range, including the designs from AfrikanSwiss, Skinny Sbu Socks and the two design winners, will be revealed at the end of May 2015. Thereafter further giveaways will afford fans the chance of winning 1 of 100 limited edition prize hampers consisting of a Lunch Bar-inspired AfrikanSwiss T-Shirt, a pair of Skinny Sbu Socks and Cadbury Lunch Bar products all to the value of R500 each.

“By celebrating Lunch Bar’s 50th Anniversary in such an interactive way we hope to inspire South Africans to share their talents and to fulfill their potential” says Meredith Kelly, Mondelez Category Lead for Chocolate. “Lunch Bar will be rewarding consumers with the opportunity to win great prizes. Another small way in which to say thank you for 50 years of loyal support.”
