Jack Daniels brings OLD NO.7 Tennessee Flavour to Johannesburg

Blaque Life Quarterly Experiences Tennessee Flavour, the Jack Daniels No.7 Brand Way

Jack Daniels, a brand that strives to stay true to its roots held an event on Tuesday 22 October, for a select few individuals. Of course, BLQ was part of the fortunate few.

We were greeted by a string of Harley Davidson bikes as we walked up to; A Street Bar Named Desire, the venue of the evening, on the busy street of Jan Smuts in Rosebank, Johannesburg. As we stepped inside, the mood instantaneously set.

Pubbing in Johannesburg

We were transported from Johannesburg into a Tennessee biker pub with music, food that fit the theme. “We’re bringing Jack Daniels from where Jack Daniels is from” expressed Jack Daniels brand manager, Nomfundo Makhanya, excitedly. This enthusiastic message shone even further in her speech of gratitude to everyone who made it to the event.

Attendees were treated to an A-star performance by musician and vocalist; Samthing Soweto – whose ‘Akulaleki’ song ignited the pub. As well as games, where attendees competed for spot prizes. The brand also provided a barber on call, giving tailored haircuts to those who were spontaneous enough to indulge. The event was rounded off with tasty food paired with a little bit of Jack, leaving us thoroughly entertained, the Jack Daniels Old No.7 way.

As the event concluded, the rains started to pour outside. A good tiding of a night well spent, over flowing Jack drinks. #BLQDrinks
