After years of countless shocks, disappointments and certain depression, Leonardo DiCaprio FINALLY won an Oscar. Named as Best Actor for his role in the Alejandro Inarritu directed, The Revenant, DiCaprio accepted the award with a speech thanking The Revenant co-star Tom Hardy as well as campaigning for the combat of climate change as the film speaks to the relationship between man and nature. Other notable wins were Mad Max: Fury Road with 6 wins including Film Editing, and Spotlight with 2 wins. These are the winners of the 88th annual Academy Awards.
