Dear Hector Pietersen, I wonder if there will ever be young people like you again.

Because much has changed, we went from uprising to turn up,

Yet when you turn left unused Limpopo textbooks still gather dust in Joburg,

Did that bullet kill our passion?

You stood up for your medium of instruction; ironically the only language we seem to love is striking,

The blood that was shed became the ink on this paper,

May these words be remembered,

May they echo infinitely on our tongues, may your legacy be passed on to our daughters and sons

To remind them, that once, they tried to silence you with guns,

Ironically your death shouted louder than the uprising itself.

In 2015, should we die first before our voices are heard?

Can discourse in modern times be resolved with words?

Is making it trend on twitter enough?

I await your response….

Youth is always about youth people and that really make us as Africans to be proud of people like Hector Pietersen and others that protested and striked against evil treatment.
