This remarkable holiday programme will be offered daily and gives parents a chance to take a breath after a long year while the young ones spend hours building and exploring gadgets and gizmos of all kinds. There will be steam turbines, robots and Bloodhound racing cars, instant ice cream and Segway rides, planetarium shows and telescopes, 3D shows, rockets and parachutes too name just a few!  The programme and activities change every day so even if you come more than once you will always be entertained.

A digital carnival will also take place at the centre between 22 December and 15 January 2015. This spectacular show will include 3D movies and other 3D technology, an Entertainment hub with touch screens and loads more. You also stand the chance of winning R5000 in a FIFA2015 showdown while a 5D experience never before seen will be launched at the event.

If the holiday programme is still not enough to keep you and your kids busy for hours, there are more than 350 interactive science exhibits that can also be explored. “Don’t Touch!” are words that don’t exist at Sci-Bono and you are encouraged to touch, push and wind up the hundreds of exhibits that were built exactly for that purpose. After hours of fun stimulating young minds, feeding hungry tummies will be a priority but that’s easy to do at our coffee shop offering tasty snacks and light meals.

Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is open Monday to Friday between 9h00 –17h00 and Saturday & Sunday between 9h30 – 16h30. Entry Fees are R20 a child and R35 an adult. Pensioners and children under 3 are free. Some of the workshops have a minimal entrance fee while others are free and are offered on a first come first serve basis.

The centre will only be closed to the public on 25 December and 1 January 2014.  For more information contact +27 11 639 8400 or email info@sci-bono.co.za or visit our website on www.sci-bono.co.za
